The A Home for Everyone (AHFE) Community Advisory Forum’s July session will feature a no-cost-to-participate training session:
Providing Competent and Inclusive Services to Transgender-identified People Experiencing Homelessness
In partnership with New Avenues for Youth’s SMYRC program, the Bridge 13 community education program is designed to address root causes of discrimination impacting the LGBTQ community and to create safer spaces for queer and trans* people of all ages. The numbers of individuals experiencing homelessness that are transgender-identified has increased across most systems of care in our community. This training is both foundational and practical, and will likely spark discussion and action across our service system on equitable access, specific needs, and the vulnerabilities of transgender-identified people who experience homelessness.
Space is limited and will be by reservation only.
Space is limited to 40 participants, with up to 3 people from each agency/organization/affiliation. Your space is not confirmed until you receive email confirmation.
Please plan to arrive on time and stay for the duration of the training
